The quickest route to 99-rated Ben Zobrist isn't about finishing every set on the screen. You need 30 of the 32 vouchers, so two can be left untouched. That bit of breathing room matters, especially when card prices jump. Before spending MLB 26 stubs, check which sets you're already close to completing. Most players will save more by finishing several nearly complete groups than by chasing one expensive reward from scratch.
Partial Sets Offer the Best Value
Start with collections that don't require every card. Field of Dreams asks for eight of 10, Hall of Fame needs six of seven, and both Prime and Signature need five of six. Contributor stops at 19, which means Babe Ruth can be left out. Jolt currently calls for 55 of 60, although owning all 60 may help with the major collection expected in November. These sets give you room to shop around, wait for better prices, and avoid locking in cards you don't actually want.

Program Rewards Deserve Early Attention
Several vouchers come from named program rewards rather than broad card totals. You'll need Mickey Mantle from Moonshot and another Mantle from Cityscapes. The list also includes Jesús Made from Pipeline, Adley Rutschman from Trade Deadline, Cody Bellinger from the All-Star Game, Tarik Skubal from Summer, Ketel Marte from Vintage, Jose Ramirez from Mural, Bo Bichette from New Threads, Konnor Griffin from Spring Breakout, and Maikel Garcia from the World Baseball Classic. If one program is close to done, knock it out before buying cards elsewhere.

Use the two optional skips on the slowest or costliest vouchers.
Full-Series Vouchers Need More Patience
Some categories leave no wiggle room. Home Run Derby requires all eight cards, Storylines needs all 33, and Breakout asks for all 20. Second Half Heroes needs 20, Postseason needs 14, and Cornerstone needs seven. Egg Hunt also requires the complete group. Topps Now and Spotlight work the same way, but waiting for Friday's content update can make those exchanges easier to plan. Elsewhere, the fixed totals are 31 for MLB Draft 26, 49 for All-Star, 10 for Standout, 52 for Awards, 35 for Milestone, and four for Finest.
Build a Practical Route to Zobrist
Don't waste time on retired groups. Rookie, Last Ride, Veteran, St. Patrick's Day, and Mexico City no longer award qualifying vouchers. Instead, map out 30 realistic targets, place the flexible sets near the top, then compare the remaining card costs before committing anything. If a few missing pieces are holding up several easy vouchers, players may choose to buy MLB 26 stubs and fill those gaps, while keeping both optional skips available for the toughest collections.
