Reaching level 70 in Diablo 4 Season 15 can feel oddly awkward. Your character is strong enough for serious content, yet the gear from leveling usually falls short. The smart move is to build momentum instead of chasing perfect drops. Start by unlocking Torment 1 through the second Capstone Dungeon and Pit tier 10, then use that tier only long enough to replace weak equipment. Early upgrades from D4 items can help smooth out the first step, but your real gearing work begins in Torment 2.

Move Through the Early Tiers

Torment 2 should be treated as your first proper farming ground. Aim for a complete set of 900 item power gear, even when the affixes are average. Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, and Infernal Hordes all help, while Obols let you focus on useful equipment slots at the Purveyor of Curiosities. The Horadric Cube is especially handy here. A magic or rare item with the right item power can be improved with added affixes, giving you a noticeable boost without waiting for a perfect legendary drop.

Clear Pit tier 10 to open Torment 1.
Replace low-level equipment in Torment 2.
Skip long farming sessions in Torment 3 and push toward Torment 4 through Pit tier 15.

Build Your Core in Torment 4 to 6

Torment 3 is rarely worth settling into. Its extra Set Charm drops are useful, but the stronger rewards in Torment 4 usually justify moving on quickly. From Torment 4 through Torment 6, your priorities change. Use a loot filter, complete the five-piece Set Charm bonus, and begin Masterworking. Salvage unwanted Charms at the Occultist for Resin, then spend that Resin in the Cube when you need better Charm options. Do not worry about perfect Charm stats yet. Completing the set matters more.

Farm With a Purpose

Obducite from War Plans, Nightmare Dungeons, and Infernal Hordes keeps Masterworking moving. At the same time, use Lair Keys to pursue build-specific Uniques. These keys can come from Helltides, Legion Events, World Bosses, Whisper Caches, the Undercity, and War Plans. Dropping to Torment 1 for a focused boss run is often faster than hoping for a random item in a harder activity. For aspects, buy weapons when you need offensive effects and boots for movement or utility. Amulets are a poor first choice because their pool is broad and their Obol cost is high.

Prepare for the Highest Tiers

Torment 7 and 8 are refinement tiers. Look for correct affixes, Unique Charms, Volatile Primordial Dust, and stronger Cube results, but keep your defenses in view. Maximum Life, Armor, and Resistances can matter more than another point of main stat. In Torment 9 and 10, finish Masterworking toward rank 25, reroll poor critical upgrades with Neathiron, and raise Glyph levels through deeper Pit runs. Torment 10 is a practical farming target, while Torment 11 and 12 are for highly polished builds. You do not need Mythic Uniques or flawless Greater Affixes to progress; a sound setup, well-used Soul Splinters, and sensible D4 items buy choices are enough to keep the climb under control.
